WHEN DID YOU START DEVELOPING A WEIGHT PROBLEM? It all started with my health problems , my self confidence getting zero and I was so much tired of hating myself.
HOW DID YOUR WEIGHT AFFECT ANY ASPECT(S) OF YOUR LIFE? Yes, I have always avoided parties or any function at that time. My self confidence was so low.
WHAT WAS THE “TURNING POINT” THAT GOT YOU STARTED ON YOUR WEIGHT LOSS JOURNEY? Once my aunt who is double my age and so much obese asked me to lend a dress of mine to her and said your dress will perfectly fits me. And the other one was, once my younger sister’s friend call me aunty.
HOW DID YOU GET STARTED? It all started with a 14 mins morning walk and half an hour of very basic yoga poses. I started all with surfing on YouTube about the yoga poses .
HOW LONG AFTER YOU STARTED DID YOU BEGIN TO SEE RESULTS OF YOUR WEIGHT LOSS EFFORTS? I started seeing the results within 1 week and in just 1 month I have lost 5 kgs of weight.
WHAT WAS THE HARDEST PART? I was a very lazy person I disliked exercises so much that I even can’t think of doing exercise for just 5 minutes in 24 hours. I started facing breathing problems due to my obesity.
DID YOU EVER WANT TO GIVE UP? WHAT KEPT YOU GOING? As I was never a morning person so in the startingof my weight loss plan I always want to give up but my body took 10-15 days of time to accept my new time table.
My mobile is full of fitness and exercise videos and most of the HIIT videos. Also, we all the glued to our mobiles most oc the times so this thing helped me a lot to stick towards my goal. And not to forget, now I get fit in my college clothes.
HOW LONG DID IT TAKE YOU TO LOSE MOST OF THE WEIGHT? It took me 6 months. In 6 months I have lost 25kgs of weight and drop down to 57kgs from 82 kgs.
WHAT DOES YOUR DAILY DIET LOOK LIKE COMPARED TO WHEN YOU WERE HEAVIER? I was like a dustbin and never allow my family members to waste any food and eat it all. If I was eating egg curry on those days then I used to eat all the 4 yolks all together. My mind was satisfied with food but my tummy always wanted more.
HOW DOES YOUR PHYSICAL ACTIVITY COMPARE TO WHEN YOU WERE HEAVIER? I am very flexible, more fit now. Walk atleast 7-8 kms everyday. My day starts with power yoga.
MY WEIGHT LOSS TIPS & TRICKS
- I started getting up early.
- I started taking lot of water atleast 4 lts a day and that top warm water only even in summers because it helps to cut the fat.
- Avoid eating outside food and cut off sugar completely.
- Atleat 1 hour of exercise in 6 days a week.
- Walk walk and walk more and more.Avoid rickshaws and other vehicles more and more .
