Weight Loss Success Stories: Amanda Lost 70 Pounds Just For Herself


I’ve always been a bit heavier growing up. I started to feel the pressure to lose weight at 12 and did the exact opposite. I piled on even more weight after a boyfriend broke my heart as a teenager. At my heaviest I was 200lbs. I’ve been working very hard for a year to become a happier, healthier version of myself. I’m so proud of my journey!!

HOW DID YOUR WEIGHT AFFECT ANY ASPECT(S) OF YOUR LIFE?  I was self conscious, I became an introvert and I avoided any evens that involved pools or beaches like the plague.

WHAT WAS THE “TURNING POINT” THAT GOT YOU STARTED ON YOUR WEIGHT LOSS JOURNEY?  I woke up and realized I wasn’t happy about any aspect of my life. My job, my relationships, and especially my body. So I overhauled my life.

HOW DID YOU GET STARTED?  The gym 2x a week which progressed to 6x a week.

HOW LONG AFTER YOU STARTED DID YOU BEGIN TO SEE RESULTS OF YOUR WEIGHT LOSS EFFORTS?  Within 3-5 weeks.

WHAT WAS THE HARDEST PART?  Lack of motivation.

DID YOU EVER WANT TO GIVE UP? WHAT KEPT YOU GOING?  Many times. But I kept telling myself progress comes with work.
